I have one that I leave at work to get around campus. They’re a TON of fun to ride. As long as you’re not planning on taking it on the highway and you’re just looking for in-town transportation, it’s fantastic. You can even get a little case to put on the rear of it and it’s useful for going down to the store to get stuff to eat.

No, but I would love one!

You need to be racing it!

I've seen videos of people taking it on highways it does get up to speed limit.

depends on the speed limit :)

The highway from my house to work is 85 mph, so that’s a big no go. I can hit 60+ on mine, but it takes a while. Getting a running start at the turn 1 hill at COTA, all the bike will manage is about 45.

Sounds kinda expensive for a big scooter?

It’s priced about the same as a Yamaha Zuma 125. If you compare it to 125cc scooters at Pep Boys or in the classifieds, yes it’s more expensive. If you compare it to similar displacement scooters made by well known motorcycle manufacturers, not really.

A friend of mine rode a CBR250R for awhile. He payed less than Grom pricing out the door. It would give you the ability to hit the highway occasionally. Don’t know about the new CBR300R

I’m just saying this as a think-about-it option. I’d totally get a Grom because I’m a huge fan of Honda horizontal singles. I have a garage filled with Z50s, CT70s, Daxes, and C70s (Passports). I’m just waiting for a nice used one to pop up locally.

I also saw that new Yamaha 300 it was really nice. I am a new rider I figured I can't get into too much trouble in a grom.
